Student Leadership
At North Bromsgrove High School, we are committed to helping students grow into confident and capable leaders. Leadership development is woven throughout school life, giving students meaningful opportunities to build key skills that will support them both during their time with us and in their future pathways.
From Year 9 through to Sixth Form, all students are encouraged to take an active role in the leadership opportunities available, developing their confidence, initiative and sense of responsibility.
We focus on shaping student leaders who are willing to step forward, think independently and embrace new challenges. Leadership at our school is about setting high standards, showing integrity and having the confidence to make a positive difference.
Students are expected to demonstrate these qualities not only in lessons, but across the wider school community and beyond. By modelling positive behaviour and attitudes, our student leaders play an important role in influencing and supporting their peers, helping to create a respectful and ambitious school environment.
Aims of our student leadership programme
The Student Leadership programme at North Bromsgrove High School is centred around three key aims:
• To foster strong collaboration between students and staff, enabling students to play an active role in shaping and contributing to the school community.
• To provide a range of meaningful and engaging opportunities that develop leadership skills, while positively impacting learning, the school environment and student wellbeing.
• To prepare students for future challenges by building confidence, resilience and the skills needed to succeed both academically and in their personal and professional lives.
