Year 11 students completed ‘Your Impact’, a road safety awareness course aimed at reducing death and serious injury amongst young road users in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Session themes included seat belts and distractions, drink and drugs, active travel and a realistic road traffic collision (RTC) reconstruction delivered through the latest Virtual Reality technology headset.
The focus of the day was to provide students with the education, tools and confidence to make the right choices using the road to first become better passengers and in the future, better young drivers. Students found the interactive sessions really helpful and the VR headsets had a powerful impact.
