Our North foodies had already competed in a round of cooking two dishes to time for a set price of £18 and four made it to the final.
The smell of sizzling duck, the perfectly shaped ravioli and jerk chicken spices filled the air. The atmosphere was tense as students juggled cooking their two dishes to time.
Watching over them were members of the Rotary Club and a very experienced chef, Oli Mitchell-Hewitt who has worked with famous chefs across the country.
It was a very high bar and Oli said that all dishes were of a high standard but as with all competitions, there could only be one winner and for the second year running, it was North!
Oli D baked a superb piece of salmon with a parmesan and homemade crust. The green beans and potatoes with it were absolute perfection.
A worthy winner and rightly cheered on by team mates Jess, Oli and Rio.
Well done all!
