Bromsgrove Rotary Club Schools Debate

Bromsgrove Rotary Club Schools Debate

Our 6th formers Eliza, Amelia and Grace, represented the school for the first Rotary Debate since the pandemic. And what a controversial topic the team debated: whether to have the Covid vaccine or not. Our steely team argued that we should not have the vaccine versus the other side that argued for it. The debate raged back and forth with our students performing brilliantly well.

Our winning streak over the last three years has sadly finally come to an end as we came second. The girls felt it was a brilliant experience and were pleased to have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in public speaking. Mr Ron Pearce from the Rotary Commended the girls' performances, 'The decision for our judges was difficult, and the quality of debate put forward by your students was most impressive. Please congratulate them once again on our behalf.'

Our thanks go to Miss Jay from Team English who worked with the girls and cheered them on from the audience.

Well done team North!
