Careers - Parents and Carers
The Careers Department is committed to providing the highest quality career provision for all of our students, underpinned by the government’s Gatsby Benchmarks.
Our goal is to support students to realise a future that they perhaps have not even yet imagined, equipping them to develop the skills and knowledge needed to achieve success and informing them of the plethora of opportunities that await them at both Post-16 and Post-18 level. Reflecting our school ethos that Studies Determine Character, students are provided with a range of opportunities both within and outside of the classroom to develop their employability skills, as well as to explore a wide range of aspirational careers and pathways.

Looking at local Labour Market Information can also a good place to start. This allows you to see which industries are thriving in the local area and which are ‘up and coming’, allowing you to support your child by identifying careers in key growth areas.
