Performance Information

North Bromsgrove High School is proud of its success, moving from its temporary fall into special measures to being one of the most improved schools in the country. We were visited by Ofsted who came to inspect us looking for 'grass shoots' of improvements. What they found was enough evidence of a solid, upwards trajectory that ensured they converted the inspection to allow us to be graded as Requires Improvement and move out of a category.
This is a fantastic achievement for the school as Leadership and Management was rated 'Good' and also the Sixth form. This recognition reflects the hard work of all the staff and the new Headteacher, Mr Gibson, leading the school to improved outcomes. 'Leaders and governors provide strong leadership, which is valued by staff, pupils, parents and carers. Staff morale is high.'.
We pride ourselves on having a strong relationship with our IEB (Governors) and Local Authority. They provide a wealth of experience and support for the school's fast-moving trajectory.
We have a strong pastoral team lead by an experienced Assistant Headteacher. Ofsted recognised that 'Pupils conduct themselves well in lessons and at unstructured times. They are developing into confident, articulate learners.'
We always aim to be the best we can be and have continued to invest in this area with as Associate Assistant Headteacher for pastoral care and a team of welfare, non-teaching pastoral managers. Combined with our progress leads, we pride ourselves on our pastoral care and our ethos of the 'North Family'.
We look forward to our next visit in order to enable us to demonstrate to inspectors the excellent work and attitudes of our fantastic students, parents, staff, IEB and LA who together form our North Family.
